Tips For Successful Soliciting

Tips For Successful Soliciting

- Be polite and mindful of our customers

- The nicer you are the more likely your chances of being approached

- Dress for the occasion, weather changes quickly; prepare for the worst (Umbrella, Layered clothing)

- Help customers with exiting and cart return

- Even if that customer isn’t interested others seeing your efforts will be more likely to approach after making a purchase

- Express what organization you are with on entrance

- Solicit on customer exit; chances are much higher of a donation or purchase after the shopping experience

- Clean up after you are finished i.e. tables back, throw away any and all trash

- Saturday solicitation hours ; 11am-4pm

- Use 1st interaction to customer to greet and use exit to solicit

- Be aware of people in a rush or avoiding eye contact. Some people may have already donated, have no extra money, or simply do not want to be bothered.

- Our customers are the most important aspect to our business; we expect you to treat them with the upmost respect

- No sign twirling/kids on 31 or by Carms Dog House pass through because of the rocks and customers driving in and out

- Park on side of the building. If you’ve got signage we can allow you to park in front(along31).
